  • What areas do you deliver to?
  • Uppercuts Butchery delivers their meat country wide.

    We DO NOT deliver to RURAL addresses as the length of time it will take can really affect the quality of your produce. Some addresses that are not classed as rural by New Zealand Post ARE classed as rural by New Zealand Couriers. You can check whether this is the case with your address on their website www.nzcouriers.co.nz/checkit If you do have a rural address you could organize your Meat Box to be delivered to an urban location for your collection.

    Deliveries are made between 9am & 6pm with most business addresses receiving theirs before midday.

  • Why can I not use a rural address?
  • Rural addresses can take boxes 3-5 working days to be delivered. This will obviously destroy the meat in your order.

    If it spoils in that time frame, due to the rural address, we do not take any responsibility and we will not be able to refund or replace your order.

    Many of our rural customers get their orders delivered to their place of work or a friends/family members urban address.

  • How much does delivery cost?
  • Our Pick Your Own boxes hold up to 12kg of meat. Each box costs:

    Southland & Otago – $12 (FREE IF THE ORDER IS OVER $150)

    Rest of the South Island – $17

    North Island – $22.

    Our Bulk Buy boxes are a set size. The cost of the delivery for these is calculated at checkout and is dependant on the box selected and the delivery location.

  • How do you deliver your Meat Boxes?
  • We use the national courier service, New Zealand Couriers, to deliver our meat boxes to you.

    We know how busy life can be so you don’t need to be at home when we deliver. Our couriers can leave your Meat Box in a nominated area, just let us know where by including delivery instructions when you check out.

    All our meat is delivered in an insulated poly box surrounded by ice packs to keep your meat chilled both during delivery and also whilst it is sitting at your door.

  • When will I receive my order?
  • All orders are made in store every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

    Our cut off time for your order being processed that day is 7pm the night before.

    They will then be delivered the following day. For example, you order before 7pm Sunday, your box will be made and shipped on Monday, it will then be delivered Tuesday.

    If the order is placed between 7pm Wednesday & 7pm Sunday then your order will be made the following Monday.

    After the cut off time, orders will be working their way through our butchery so cannot be cancelled or amended. If you have any problems regarding your order please contact us via email on orders@uppercutsbutchery.co.nz

    Our cut off time is to ensure you receive the best product we can give you and that time does not affect its quality.

    Delivery on the meat boxes depends on your exact location. Most deliveries will be made the next day.

  • Can I track my order?
  • Yes. Once you order has been placed you will receive an email confirmation including your tracking number. You can then track your order directly via New Zealand Couriers website www.nzcouriers.co.nz, or calling 0800 800 841.

  • When can I 'Pick Up From Store'?
  • All orders are made in store every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

    Our cut off time for your order being processed that day is 7pm the night before.

    If the order is placed between 7pm Wednesday & 7pm Sunday then your order will be ready to collect the following Monday.

    You can collect your order from 3pm.

  • Are the boxes delivered fresh or frozen?
  • The majority of our boxes will be delivered frozen. If yours is delivered fresh it has not defrosted. It means we have made it straight after you have ordered it and we’ve put it straight on the courier.

  • Are the products gluten-free?
  • Our plain cuts of meat most definitely would suit you and we have marked the gluten-free marinades with a (GF).

    Please also bear in mind that, although not produced at the same time, our products are made in the same facility as wheat-containing or gluten-containing foods.

  • Can I return the ice packs?
  • Absolutely! Please fill one of your meat boxes with your unfrozen ice packs and once it is full, email us. We will then send you a pre-pad return label with your next order. Simply stick it to the top of your box & call your nearest NZ Couriers depot for an uplift. Leave it on your doorstep & it will magically make it’s way back to us.
