What areas do you deliver to?

Uppercuts Butchery delivers their meat country wide.

We DO NOT deliver to RURAL addresses as the length of time it will take can really affect the quality of your produce. Some addresses that are not classed as rural by New Zealand Post ARE classed as rural by New Zealand Couriers. You can check whether this is the case with your address on their website www.nzcouriers.co.nz/checkit If you do have a rural address you could organize your Meat Box to be delivered to an urban location for your collection.

Deliveries are made Tuesday or Wednesday between 9am & 6pm with most business addresses receiving theirs before midday.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery on our Subscription Meat Boxes are as follows:


Southland & Otago

2 person - $9

4 person - $12


Rest of the South Island

2 person - $14

4 person - $21


North Island

2 person - $22

4 person - $33


Delivery on our One-Off Meat Boxes is dependant on the box & the shipping address. Both factors are combined and the calculated shipping costs will be shown at the checkout. 


How do you deliver your Meat Boxes?

We use the national courier service, New Zealand Couriers, to deliver our meat boxes to you.

We know how busy life can be so you don’t need to be at home when we deliver. Our couriers can leave your Meat Box in a nominated area, just let us know where by including delivery instructions when you check out.

All our meat is delivered in an insulated poly box surrounded by ice packs to keep your meat chilled both during delivery and also whilst it is sitting at your door.

When will I receive my order?

Subscription Boxes 

All orders are made fresh in store every other Tuesday. 

Our cut off time for your order being processed that week is midnight Monday, the day prior. 

After the cut off time, orders will be working their way through our butchery so cannot be cancelled or amended. If you have any problems regarding your order please contact us via email on orders@uppercutsbutchery.co.nz

Our cut off time is to ensure you receive the best product we can give you and that time does not affect its quality.

All orders placed after this will receive their meat box the following fortnight. 

Delivery on the meat boxes depends on your exact location. Most deliveries will be made the next day.

One-off Boxes 

All orders are made fresh in store every Tuesday.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once you order has been placed you will receive an email confirmation including your tracking number. You can then track your order directly via New Zealand Couriers website www.nzcouriers.co.nz, or calling 0800 800 841.

Subscription

Can I skip a box?

Yes. If you are off on your holidays or just have a build up of meat in the freezer you can pause your subscription under your 'My Account' section on our website. The amount of weeks that you pause your account for is completely up to you. 

What is your cancellation policy?

We'd hate to see you leave but you can cancel your subscription at any time for any reason on your 'My Account' section on our website. 

I forgot to pause my account, can I cancel my box?

No. Once you sign up to our subscription meat boxes you are agreeing to take full responsibility of your account. All of our meat is cut to order and once the payment has been taken your order is being processed through the butchery. They cannot then be cancelled. 

If you are still adamant that you do not wish to receive your box, we are able to then issue a refund of 75% of the total of your order. 

I'm really busy, please can you do it for me?

Unfortunately, we have no access to customers individual accounts sorry. However, our website is extremely easy to use and everything you might need to do can be found in your 'My Account' section on our website. 

If there's something I don't like can I swap it out?

No, sorry. Currently we are unable to swap out contents due to personal preference. 

Are the boxes gluten-free?

No, sorry. Most of the mixes and binders we use contain gluten. However, if the demand is there it is something we will look into. 

Most of our one-off boxes, with plain cuts of meat, would suit you more especially our 'Gluten-Free Stock Box'. 

Are the boxes delivered fresh or frozen?

Our subscription boxes are all made to order and delivered fresh. 

The majority of our one-off boxes will be delivered frozen. If yours is delivered fresh it has not defrosted. It means we have made it straight after you have ordered it and we've put it straight on the courier.
